Infosys to Hire 20,000 Freshers in FY26, Emphasizes AI Reskilling Amid Industry Layoffs
Infosys CEO Salil Parekh confirmed the company will hire approximately 20,000 fresh graduates in FY2026, despite broader industry layoffs—most notably TCS’s reduction of over 12,000 roles. Infosys has already gross-hired 17,000 in Q1 and trained around 275,000 employees in AI and digital skills. This approach underlines its resilience strategy: investing in upskilling and automation-driven growth without job cuts, aligned with its revised FY26 guidance of 1%–3% constant-currency growth.
