UK Criminalizes AI Tools for Creating Child Abuse Images

The United Kingdom is set to become the first nation to criminalize the possession, creation, or distribution of AI tools designed to generate child sexual abuse images. Offenders could face up to five years in prison. Additionally, possessing manuals that instruct on using AI for such purposes will be punishable by up to three years in prison. These measures aim to protect children from evolving technological threats.
