UP prisons turn to AI-based video surveillance to monitor inmates

<p>Authorities in UP are using AI in prison to keep a check on unlawful activities, violence, and unauthorized access. The AI-powered video analytics solution, named JARVIS, is developed by a Gurugram-based start-up Staqu. The phase one of the project covers a stretch of around 900km. The company is using 700 cameras to cover activities in 70 prisons for multi-purpose analysis i.e frisking, external intrusion, crowd analysis. </p>
