AI Superpower Hub: AWS and SK Group Partner for Mega Data Center in South Korea

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has partnered with SK Group and the Ulsan Metropolitan Government to build South Korea’s largest AI-dedicated data center in Ulsan. Equipped with 60,000 GPUs, the multi-trillion-won project will deploy an initial 40 MW capacity by 2027 before expanding up to 1 GW, establishing a major regional hub for high-performance AI infrastructure across the Asia-Pacific region.
