Alaska Airlines Orders IT System Audit After Global Outage
Alaska Air Group is partnering with Accenture to conduct an audit of its IT systems following a global outage that stemmed from an issue with Microsoft's Azure platform. The disruption forced the cancellation of over 400 flights, affecting more than 49,000 passengers. The airline plans to update its fourth-quarter financial forecast in early December to reflect the full impact.
