Ford’s $28,350 Fathom Electric Pickup Can Power a Home With More Affordable Bidirectional Charging

Ford’s upcoming Fathom electric pickup will start at $28,350 and deliver more than 10 kW of power to homes. Ford announced two charging products: a $650 Home Power Station that can send electricity back to the home and a $2,100 Home Backup Power package for outages. Both support virtual power plants, allowing owners to sell electricity back to the grid. Installation costs are extra and can be substantial.
