Leading Chinese ecommerce platforms Alibaba, JD.com, and Meituan are aggressively competing in "instant retail"—offering deliveries within 3060 minutes, often at netloss prices. Together theyve committed nearly ¥200billion (~$28billion) in subsidies, drawing regulatory scrutiny over deflation risks, waste and market distortion.
