Apple Fined €39M by French Court Over Unfair iPhone Contracts

A French commercial court ordered Apple to pay approximately €39 million to three mobile network operators and levied an additional €8 million fine. The ruling, which Apple plans to appeal, found that the company imposed unfair contractual conditions on the carriers over a decade ago. These voided clauses dictated iPhone sales targets and fixed retail prices, affecting French operators Bouygues Telecom, Free, and SFR.
