Telecom Titans Drive Surge: India’s Mobile Base Crosses 1.3 Billion

According to latest TRAI data, India added 6.57 million mobile users in September, pushing the total wireless subscriber base past 1.3 billion. Market leaders Reliance Jio (2.71M) and Bharti Airtel (2.69M) dominated growth, together capturing over 5.3 million new subscribers. Meanwhile, state-run BSNL outpaced Vodafone Idea in monthly growth percentage, as overall network expansion and porting requests remained strong.
