Apple Under Fire: US Lawmakers Target Chinese Memory Chip Plan

A bipartisan group of US senators sent an open letter to Apple CEO Tim Cook urging the tech giant to abandon plans to source memory chips from Chinese suppliers CXMT and YMTC. Citing national security concerns, national defense risks, and legislative bans, lawmakers demanded a written commitment by August 21 ensuring these state-backed Chinese chips are excluded from Apple products worldwide.
