Apple’s AI Upgrade Outpaces Its Own Tech: 5 Apple Watches Left Behind

Apple has confirmed that the upcoming watchOS 27 update will drop software support for five older wearables:
1)Apple Watch Series 6, 7, and 8
2)Apple Watch SE (2nd Gen)
3)Apple Watch Ultra (1st Gen)
The cutoff is driven by Apple’s aggressive push into artificial intelligence. The new conversational Siri AI assistant and advanced system features require the processing power of newer S9 and S10 chips, leaving millions of older models permanently locked out of future updates.
