Baidu in talks to raise $2B for AI-based biotech start-up: sources

<p>Chinese tech giant Baidu is in talks with investors to raise up to $2B in the next 3 years for a biotech start-up, which, as per the sources, will use AI to discover new drugs and diagnose diseases. Baidu’s plans come at a time of increased investment in the healthcare sector, with many companies expanding into online diagnosis. The start-up, that is not yet named, will use Baidu’s powerful AI tech in drug discovery/development, early tumour diagnosis etc.</p>
