Biotech Startup PeelOn Raises $1M to Scale Compostable Packaging R&D
Biotech startup PeelOn secured $1 million in its maiden funding round, led by GrowX Ventures and joined by Boston Venture Group, Clean Energy Venture Group, and Climate Angels. Valued at $7.9 million, the company makes compostable packaging that triples produce shelf life—using plant-derived additives embedded in the film. Proceeds will bolster R&D and production in Visakhapatnam, expand sales & regulatory teams in India and the U.S., launch produce-specific campaigns & certifications globally.
