Burford Could Receive $1.4B From $5.7B Apple Patent Verdict

Litigation financier Burford Capital says it could receive about $1.4 billion from the $5.7 billion patent verdict awarded to Taction Technology against Apple. A jury found Apple’s iPhones and Watches infringed two Taction patents related to haptic feedback. Burford cautioned that the award could be reduced substantially during post-trial proceedings or appeals.
