Crisil Sees Two-Wheeler Sales Rising 5–6% This Fiscal After GST Cut

Crisil Ratings projects a 5–6% increase in two-wheeler sales this fiscal year, fueled by the GST Council’s recent rationalization of tax rates, effective September 22. The move is expected to boost demand significantly—by approximately 200 basis points, while improving affordability and streamlining compliance. Passenger vehicle sales may also rise 2–3%, gaining a 100 bps uplift.
