Desert Megafab: TSMC Pours $20B More into Arizona

Taiwan has officially cleared a massive $20 billion capital injection for TSMC’s Arizona subsidiary. This marks the sixth time regulators have approved US funding for the semiconductor giant, pushing its total approved American investment to a staggering $44 billion. The fresh funds will finance a 12-inch wafer fab and a critical advanced packaging plant, helping establish a self-contained AI chip supply chain on US soil.
