Disney Invests $1 Billion in OpenAI for Character-Driven AI Video

Disney and OpenAI have entered a three-year licensing agreement and a $1 billion equity deal. This collaboration allows OpenAI's Sora platform and ChatGPT Images to generate short, user-prompted videos and images featuring over 200 Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars characters, excluding talent likenesses. The goal is to responsibly extend storytelling through generative AI.
