Festive Sales Surge Ahead of Diwali; Pismo Expands India Presence

As India’s festive e-commerce season enters its final phase, online sellers and marketplaces anticipate a significant boost, with analysts projecting ₹22,000–25,000 crore in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) during the last week. Brands are focusing on quick commerce to cater to last-minute Diwali shoppers. Meanwhile, Visa-owned fintech firm Pismo is expanding its footprint in India, collaborating with multiple banks and planning to introduce its own UPI payment processing system.
