GitHub Copilot Surpasses 20 Million All-Time Users, Gains 5 Million in Three Months
GitHub Copilot, Microsoft’s AI coding assistant, reached over 20 million all-time users as announced by CEO Satya Nadella on the Q4 earnings call, adding 5 million new users in the past quarter alone. The tool now serves 90% of the Fortune 100 and saw enterprise adoption grow by roughly 75% quarter-over-quarter. Despite its popularity, active monthly engagement metrics remain undisclosed.
