Google Fined $55M for Anti-Competitive Conduct with Australian Telcos
The Federal Court ordered Google Asia Pacific to pay a $55 million penalty to the ACCC for anti-competitive conduct. The fine relates to secret agreements with Telstra and Optus between 2019 and 2021, which required them to only pre-install Google Search on Android phones, locking out rival search engines.
