HP to Launch First PLI-Backed PCs in India, Aims to Double Local Production

HP is set to roll out its first products under India's Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme in May 2025, including laptops, desktops, and all-in-one PCs. The company plans to double its manufacturing output in India within a year, targeting 13% of HP PCs sold in India to be locally produced by year-end, and increasing to one-third by 2031. Despite global tariff uncertainties, HP remains committed to its five-year production ramp-up plan.
