India Approves ₹5,500 Crore Electronics Manufacturing Boost

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has approved ₹5,532 crore in investments for seven projects under the Electronic Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS). This initiative, which includes companies like Kaynes Circuits and SRF, aims to significantly reduce India's reliance on imports, particularly for components like printed circuit boards and copper clad laminates, boosting domestic value addition and creating over 5,100 direct jobs.
