Overwhelmed by AI-generated junk reports, GitHub is overhauling its bug bounty program. Starting July 27, public payouts will drop significantly—with critical bug rewards cut from $30,000 to $10,000. To reward serious security researchers, GitHub is launching an invite-only VIP program offering higher payouts (up to $30,000+) and fast-track access, alongside strict submission limits for unverified submitters.
