Lifecell International and Mfine unite, raising $80M

<p>Digital health platform MFine will merge with Chennai-based LifeCell International's diagnostics division to create a new joint venture called LifeWell, a month after firing more than 400 workers in a cost-cutting measure. OrbiMed, a healthcare investment company with $18B in assets under control, provided $80M to LifeWell. Bengaluru-based MFine restructured its company in May to focus more on lucrative sectors.</p>
