Mega Buyback: SK Hynix to Shred $29 Billion in Shares to Boost Investor Returns

South Korean memory chip giant SK Hynix announced plans to repurchase and cancel 40 trillion won ($28.6 billion) worth of its own shares to maximize shareholder value. Fueled by the ongoing AI memory boom, the company also committed to returning at least 50% of its cumulative free cash flow to investors through buybacks and dividends between 2025 and 2027.
