Modulate Raises $25M to Expand AI That Understands Emotion, Intent and Deepfake Voices

Voice AI startup Modulate has raised $25 million, bringing its total funding to $60 million. Its Velma platform uses more than 100 specialized audio models to analyze emotion, tone, intent and synthetic voices directly from audio. The technology is used for deepfake detection, fraud prevention, voice-agent monitoring and trust & safety. Modulate says its models process more than 10 million hours of audio each month.
