Musk Confirms Tesla Signs $16.5 Billion Chip Supply Deal with Samsung Through 2033

Tesla CEO Elon Musk confirmed that Samsung Electronics has signed a multiyear chip supply agreement worth approximately $16.5 billion, running through 2033. The deal will see Samsung’s upcoming Texas fab dedicated to manufacturing Tesla’s next-generation AI6 chips, with Tesla assisting to optimize production efficiency. The partnership comes as Samsung seeks to revive its underperforming foundry business and strengthen U.S.–South Korea semiconductor collaboration.
