NATO Innovation Fund Overhauls Investment Team Amid Defense Tech Boom

The NATO Innovation Fund (NIF), now backed by 24 countries and €1 billion in capital, has completely revamped its investment team: founding partner Kelly Chen will depart, while Ulrich Quay and Sander Verbrugge (ex-Innovation Industries/NXP) join as new partners based in Amsterdam. Only Patrick Schneider‑Sikorsky remains from the original cohort. The reshuffle follows rising defense-focused venture capital activity and aims to accelerate adoption of dual‑use technologies across the Alliance.
