Sage Future, a nonprofit backed by Open Philanthropy, conducted an experiment where AI models—including OpenAI's GPT-4o and Anthropic's Claude—were tasked with autonomously raising funds for charity. Operating in a virtual environment, these AI agents selected Helen Keller International as their beneficiary and raised $257 within a week.
