Powering Superintelligence: Meta and BlackRock Team Up for $14B Texas Data Center

Meta and asset manager BlackRock have formed a joint venture to develop a massive $14 billion AI data center campus in El Paso, Texas. BlackRock-managed funds will hold an 80% stake while Meta retains 20% and serves as the primary occupant. Designed for 1 gigawatt of compute capacity, the facility directly supports Meta's aggressive push to build superintelligence infrastructure by 2028.
