Sky-High Payday: Satellite Giants Bag $6.1 Billion to Clear U.S. Frequencies
By TechShots Studio

European satellite operators Eutelsat and SES are set to receive roughly $6.1 billion in combined incentive payments for clearing 160 megahertz of C-band spectrum for U.S. mobile networks. Under an FCC framework, SES expects $5.6 billion while Eutelsat stands to get $504 million. Payouts depend on meeting spectrum transition deadlines in 2030 and 2031 while maintaining uninterrupted customer services.
