Start-up firms growing in India with a rising rate of 10% each year: Official

<p>An official claimed on Tuesday that the number of start-ups in the country is growing rapidly, with 10% more created each year. Sanjeev Malhotra, CEO of the Nasscom Centre of Excellence for IoT and AI, noted that most of the start-ups are on the application side, but that there has also been a lot of work done in the field of software-assisted services. There is a need to create start-ups in areas of scientific research, Malhotra said.</p>
