Tesla’s U.S. EV Market Share Crashes to 38%

Tesla’s U.S. electric vehicle (EV) market share dropped to 38%, marking its lowest level since 2017, as legacy automakers like Hyundai, Honda, Kia, Toyota, and Volkswagen aggressively expanded with new models and generous incentives. Tesla’s limited affordable offerings and shift toward robotaxi and humanoid projects contributed to the decline. Even though Tesla sales rose slightly, broader market growth outpaced the company, pressuring its margin outlook.
