Artificial intelligence lab Anthropic plans to offer up to 552.9 billion yen ($3.5 billion) worth of shares to Japanese investors as part of its upcoming U.S. initial public offering. According to a regulatory filing, the proceeds from this international tranche will fund working capital, operating expenses, and massive capital expenditures as the company scales its compute capacity.
