Indie studio Neon has acquired Artificial, Luca Guadagnino's film about Sam Altman's chaotic OpenAI firing and rehiring. Amazon MGM originally financed the $40 million project but dropped it after signing a massive $50 billion business partnership with OpenAI. Starring Andrew Garfield, the unflattering dramatization is now being fast-tracked by Neon for a late-year release and an upcoming Oscar campaign.
