Turkey’s Competition Authority fined Google around ₺355 million (≈ $8.87 million) for implementing “Business Ads” designs that violated prior antitrust obligations related to local search market dominance. The regulator found the updates disadvantaged competing services and breached previous commitments. Google has also been ordered to halt these practices and may face daily penalties until full compliance is achieved. This marks another significant antitrust action in Turkey’s ongoing scrutiny.
