US Targets Iran’s Biggest Crypto Exchange in Sanctions Crackdown

The U.S. has sanctioned Iran’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, Nobitex, alleging it helped the Iranian government and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) evade Western sanctions and move funds internationally. The measures also target key executives and affiliated individuals. Washington says the action aims to disrupt Iran’s use of digital assets for sanctions evasion and financing activities linked to sanctioned entities.
