Wall Street Listing Could Launch Japanese Chipmaker Kioxia into AI Mega-Fund Portfolios

Japanese memory chipmaker Kioxia’s plan to list American Depositary Shares (ADS) in the U.S. could unlock significant global investment, according to Voya Investment Management’s Sebastian Thomas. Managing a $14 billion AI fund, Thomas highlighted that limited liquidity currently restricts investments in Japanese suppliers. A U.S. listing would solve this, making Kioxia a prime target for major global AI infrastructure investors.
