Zoom acquires AI start that works on real time translation

<p>Zoom has announced the acquisition of Kites, an AI company that worked on building real-time translation and transcription software. Zoom is aiming to add translation capabilities to its video conferencing platform. Zoom’s real-time translation is restricted to users speaking only in English and it falls short of certain accuracy requirements. Zoom is looking to open a research center in Germany where the Kites team will reside.</p>
