India has become Asia-Pacific’s top data center market outside China, quadrupling its live IT capacity to 1.7 GW over six years. Driven by strong power and fiber networks, the country has 1.3 GW under construction and another 3.2 GW planned. Maharashtra leads the expansion, holding 55% of national capacity alongside strong project pipelines across several key states.
