Twitter’s Third-Party App Issue Is Deliberate Suspension

<p>Last Friday, Twitter shut down a huge number of third-party Twitter apps. It first appeared to be an API error in the platform, but fresh information suggests it was intentional. Because they worry that their applications could cease functioning, some developers are removing their customers from the App Store. Twitter has discontinued a number of developer-related initiatives since acquiring control, including the Twitter Toolbox for app discovery.</p>
