UPI hits 1.31 billion transactions in December, value crosses Rs 2 lakh crore

<p>National Payments Corporation of India has recently said in its tweet that the number of UPI transactions has increased by 7% to 2.03 lakh crore in the last month of 2019. UPI is a technology that allows users to make payments in real-time, across multiple banks without revealing anyone&rsquo;s bank account. Reportedly, the number of transactions jumped to 1.31 billion in December from 1.22 billion in November 2019.</p>
