How Indian Coder Soham Parekh Secretly Worked at 30+ US Startups
Indian engineer Soham Parekh admitted to secretly working at dozens of US startups at once, including Y Combinator-backed firms like Synthesia and Alan AI. Entrepreneur Suhail Doshi exposed the scheme, calling Parekh a “scammer” who misled companies with fake commitments. One startup even shipped his laptop to a suspicious address. Parekh eventually confessed, citing dire financial circumstances. The case has reignited debate on "overemployment" and loose remote hiring practices.
