India Conducts Nationwide Emergency Alert System Test

Millions of smartphone users across India recently received a loud emergency alert and a flash message as part of a nationwide system test. Conducted by the Department of Telecommunications and National Disaster Management Authority, the "Cell Broadcast Alert System" aims to enhance public safety during disasters. These automated tests evaluate the efficiency of warning dissemination across different mobile networks.
