Indian Government Clarifies: TikTok Ban Still in Place Despite Website Access Restoration

The Indian government has reaffirmed that the TikTok ban remains firmly in place, responding to reports of limited website accessibility. Government sources told ANI that no unblocking order has been issued and labeled such claims as “false and misleading.” While some users can now access the TikTok web interface, the app remains unavailable on Indian app stores, and the official prohibition continues as it has since 2020.
