Meltdown in Court: Judge Scraps Most Claims in Ben & Jerry’s Activism Battle

A U.S. federal judge dismissed major portions of a lawsuit by Ben & Jerry’s accusing former parent company Unilever of attempting to silence its social activism and dismantle its independent board. The court threw out seven of ten claims regarding governance and corporate censorship, allowing only two claims regarding $4.5 million in alleged missed payments to proceed.
