Pricey Petitions: US Proposes Massive $103,265 Fee Hike for H-1B Visas

The US Department of Homeland Security has proposed a massive new standalone fee of $103,265 for cap-subject H-1B visa petitions. Charged on top of existing fees, the proposal aims to generate around $8.8 billion annually to fund operations across six federal agencies—including USCIS, immigration courts, and labor enforcement—significantly increasing costs for sponsoring companies.
