Elon Musk has hit back at a political debate regarding his fortune, calling claims that his success stems entirely from taxpayer money "totally false."Responding to an online clash between US Senators Ed Markey and Mike Lee, Musk asserted that government incentives make up less than 2% of the value of SpaceX and Tesla. He added that many subsidies actually favored his competitors and that Tesla's sales grew after federal EV tax credits were eliminated.
