CJI Surya Kant: Technology Must Amplify, Not Replace, Human Judicial Judgment

Chief Justice of India Surya Kant emphasized that technology must amplify, not replace, human judgment within the judicial system. Speaking at a symposium on reducing litigation delays, he cautioned against a "naive optimism" towards technology. He stressed that digital reforms must include the poor and digitally unfamiliar, warning that technology should remain a "servant of justice, not its substitute."
