Strategy is Working, But Jobs Aren't: eBay Cuts 1,000 Roles in Re-commerce Pivot

eBay is cutting about 1,000 jobs, or roughly 9% of its workforce, to streamline operations and reallocate resources toward high-growth areas like luxury authentication, collectables, and re-commerce. In an internal memo, CEO Jamie Iannone defended the cuts by declaring that the company's strategy is working, even as the online marketplace undertakes its second major round of layoffs in recent months.
